Investing in the lives of others can be extremely rewarding and fulfilling. That's exactly what we do here at Black Hills Retreat! Servant-hearted people who enjoy teaming with others are invited to help with camp operations, maintenance, and improvement projects.

Summer Staff

Ministry-minded individuals who love God, love serving others, and enjoy working hard while having fun are encouraged to apply to join our Summer Staff. These are paid positions with room and board provided. The summer camp season runs from late May through early August. This is an ideal opportunity for college students or anyone with summers off.

Volunteers are critical and are deeply appreciated! Whether you can invest only a day or two, a month or two, or even longer, we need and value service-minded people who want to make a difference in the lives of others by helping with behind-the-scenes operations at Black Hills Retreat.

There are always projects to do at Camp as we work to maintain and improve this special place. Teams usually come for two or three days, but we're flexible if you'd like to stay longer. There's work for skilled and unskilled people who are energetic and willing to invest their time and talents in improving the grounds and facilities at Black Hills Retreat.

Black Hills Retreat offers great servant ministry experience. Are driven, hardworking and wanting to love on people all Summer long? We have a spot for you to dive right in. College students talk with your school about their credit requirements before applying. Spots are very limited and awarded on a first-come first-served basis.
