1940's Girl Scouts?

Established in 1941, as the Girl Scouts’ “Camp Paha Sapa,” Black Hills Retreat boasts a rich history. Converted to a church camp in 2003, we are honored to give new life to this historic property and continue to witness its influence in individual’s lives. Located in the heart of the northern Black Hills and off the beaten path, Black Hills Retreat is situated ideally to step away from the hurried pace of daily life, breathe in the fresh pine area, and connect deeply to God in a new or renewed way.

Black Hills Retreat is owned and operated by the South Dakota Assemblies of God. The South Dakota District is devoted to developing and empowering ministries, creating opportunities for spiritual transformation, communicating Pentecostal truth for future generations, providing leadership and connection for ministers and churches and promoting, facilitating, and supporting Missions endeavors around the world.
